The Martenson Family Reunion 2011: Day 1

We began our Martenson Family Reunion this year in the lovely tiny city of Albion, Idaho.  Population 262.....I think we upped it by almost 25%!  This was a beautiful rural setting.....the stars were amazing at night, the weather was perfect and we had so much fun together for 4 day!  Whoot!  Whoot!  Let the games begin!

We started the weekend off with everyone settling in to our new digs.  We had a fabulous dinner of Sticky Coconut Chicken, Jasmine Rice and Salad!  All so delicious!  Then the games did begin!

Miller Hall on the Albion Campus was our home for the weekend!

The campus we were on has a fascinating history.  It was called the Albion State Normal School and  it offered a two year teaching certificate.  The campus was purchase in 2007 by the Mortensen Family. They have renovated it to be a family reunion center.  You can read more about it and see their future plans for the entire campus here.
