Preparation Day Adventures

Honolua Bay We took this P Day to head out to Honolua Bay!  It is one of the premier snorkel spots on the island.  You actually have to hike down through a very pretty jungle to get to the water.  Since the hike goes across private property the owners have set up a little farmers market with fruits and vegetables and homemade crafts to buy.  They encourage you to donate.  When we made it to the bay it is completely full of rocks.  So no sandy beach.  You have to make your way out into the bay by climbing over all these pretty good sized boulders.  It makes entering the bay a little tricky.  Once we got in and it's a pretty good swim over to the best snorkel area.  This area is so unique because of all the big boulders and coral heads.  The fish were very large. Some species that I had seen as tiny fish were very large out here.  I got kind of nervous because I have a big fear of sharks.  So I was a little timid and nervous...

As the weeks went on we all became very good friends and we were often invited over for lunch and we would always have good discussions but there really wasn't much discussion or expectation that Lelia would join...
