Coming out of Hibernation

I don't know about you but winter is hard on my body.  I feel so sluggish and it is hard to get out of bed in the morning.  When spring hits I feel like I should just bound out of bed but the body is slow to respond.  This morning I kept crawling back under the covers until Mackay was finally ready for school.  Feeling the need for some Mountain energy I decided to head for American Fork Canyon after dropping him off at school.  This is one of the things I love about living in Utah.  The Mountains are just minutes away, no matter where you live along the Wasatch Front.

Before I even got into the canyon I ran into a whole herd of these little beauties.

Big Horn Sheep

They roam the high ridge at the mouth of the canyon.

As I continued up the canyon I decided to go and hike a little nature trail.  The whole canyon felt completely deserted and the air felt so fresh and crisp and clean.  What a lovely way to start the morning

Meditation By the River.....so lovely!

It brings a smile to my face!

There is something about sitting on a big rock!

High on the ridge looking down to the river below!

So happy to have the sun along!
My advice for the day:  Go take a HIKE!
